Share pickup city and postal code, destination city and postal code, exact commodity, packing count, final dimensions, gross weight, CBM, cargo-ready date and required service boundary. Disclose batteries, liquids, chemicals, magnets, wood, food, brands and oversize features.
How should FCL and LCL be compared?
Compare the complete door-to-door boundary, handling count, damage or moisture exposure, time, destination charges and consolidation needs. Fragile, dense or time-sensitive cargo may justify FCL before a container is full.
How do 20GP, 40GP and 40HQ differ?
A 20GP often suits dense cargo; a 40HQ suits lighter volume. Door opening, payload, floor loading, road limits, package shape and the real load plan decide usable capacity.
Which cargo features change carrier acceptance?
Batteries, chemicals, liquids, aerosols, magnets, temperature control, untreated wood, food, vehicles, high value and oversize or heavy units require shipment-specific confirmation.
Can several Chinese suppliers share one container?
Yes, if warehouse appointments, marks, packing lists and export documents are controlled. Set a decision deadline for late suppliers so one exception does not silently move the whole plan.
Why can ocean quotes show different totals?
They may cover different boundaries. Compare pickup, warehouse, customs, main freight, terminals, delivery, free time and conditional costs line by line.
Which loading evidence should be retained?
Record empty-container condition, container number, package marks and quantity, packing, moisture protection, blocking, loading progress, doors and seal.
Who confirms import requirements and destination charges?
The importer and licensed destination broker confirm classification, permits, taxes and local filing. A forwarder can organize facts, not replace those legal responsibilities.
